Tuesday 23rd April
In our lesson with Abbie and Kane, we were introduced to editing and how it can be used in any piece of Film and TV to make it stand out more. We took our scenes from 'Halloween' and started to edit some of the parts in the scenes such as 'cutting out where the director says cut', 'where they say action' and also any bits that were not meant to be included in our scenes such as outtakes or messed up lines.
Wednesday 24th April
We managed to get our scripts for our end of year performance and then started to read through and highlight the lines that our character would be saying. We also started to add in little bits of improvements in there such as change of line of other parts that were added into the script.
We then started to look at the first scene which was the 'group chat' with all of the characters in the beginning and started to look at where we wanted each character to be when we deliver the lines to the audience. We tried saying our lines and also tried to be more enthusiastic and excited about the comic con. Some characters also stand up and others sit down after a character says a certain line, such as we underlined the lines where the character would either have to stand up or sit down.
Thursday 25th April
In our session with tom we had a one to one where we looked at what we needed for whatever course we were going for when we come back in September, for example I needed to do either an audition or an interview to go onto level 3 Performing arts so I started to look at some monologues from different play writers such as William Shakespeare and picked out a couple of his different monologues from his plays such as 'Macbeth, Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet'.
We also started to looked at what the last few thing were that we needed to do before our end of year show such as our CV, our end of year show, our blogs completed and our essay which needs to include 750 words on (Film noir).
Friday 26th April
We started to rehearse some of the scenes for our end of year show 'Beyond the bloodstained curtain' such as the home scenes and the Argument scene with all of the characters at the food court. We made sure to include stage direction so that the audience can see each character when they are sat or stood up around the table.
