Tuesday 12th March
We started to plan out the script look for our news reports and what different ideas we wanted to include so that we knew how it was going to be planed out when we record it. We had to make sure we included in our news report, such as Meaning of Mise en scene, The different camera shots that were used when we did our Film and TV project and the props, costumes and locations that we used along with that.
It was also important to make sure that we included the more important focuses in our news reports such as the characters that we play, what their main role is in the actual film and also why we chose the film. The reason we chose 'Halloween' is because it is part of the Horror industry and we also wanted something that would have a good story link to it.
Wednesday 13th March
We did a warm up with the level 3 students where we did some different exercise and games just to get us warmed up for then.
We then watch a little preview of one of their upcoming shows that they are doing (Shout). What I liked about the first part of the show is how they made it so likeable and the way they used their creativity for the props was a good addition to.
Thursday 14th March
In our session with our tutor Tom we looked at a performance by the Vertabin Theatre called 'Our Generation'. It was focusing on what our generation is like these days for many teenagers, but it also uses the idea of how they included voice records so that the audience knew what the teenagers meant because it was being said in their own words and then been put into a script
The Vertabin Theatre which was created by Max Stafford - Clark, is mainly focusing on the interviews and how they are recorded and then put into a script. It also gives the same effect of how they said it which makes it more creative because it is being said in their own words on how they see this generation.
Friday 15th March
We started to work on our interrogations for our performance 'Beyond the bloodstain curtain' where the detective 'John Baker' would interview each character and ask them various question such as Where were they at the time of the murder?, Did they know the victim or have any relation to them?, and also what would their motive be to killing the victim and why would they have done it.
When doing this we tried to use the use of the Vertabin Theatre effect where we were recorded doing the interrogations and then we tried to mimic the lines that we were saying in our recording and trying to capture every expression, every line and also every bit of physicality that our characters do during the interrogations of the person who had been murdered.
