This week, we completed a group rehearsal of our performance and then received individual and group feedback. We were told that when off stage, we need to be concentrated, not messing about and stay engaged. I also made sure that there is a difference in characterisation between the three characters that i am portraying. It is also important to not rush through lines when delivering them to the audience.
We then managed to do two full run-through's of the play and then received group and individual feedback from both our tutors Tom and Abbie. It is important to get feedback from tutors/teachers because we need to know what kind of things we need to improve on and how we can make the scenes and the characters personality just a little more better. My feedback was to find some appropriate costumes for two of the characters that i am portraying in the play (The dowager queen and the First husband). Another thing to focus on is the volume to make sure that the audience are able to hear the lines that the characters are delivering to the audience. The difference between these two things is that volume is to make sure people are able to hear and understand you, and delivering lines to the audience involves concentration and tone.
At the end of the week we say the Level 3 musical theatre students perform 'A miracle on 34th street'. This gave me a chance to look more into what i could use for my performances like the accents, stage directing and could inspire future characters that i play.
